2010
flour bags
bread wrappers
cotton thread

Through the summer of 2010, used flour bags and bread wrappers were donated by the church community and the former Glasgow bakery, Bradfords. The bags were stitched together in a traditional quilting pattern by participants, using seven vintage Singer sewing machines.  The installation was part of a Harvest Thanksgiving liturgy in Renfield St. Stephen’s Church, Glasgow, and focussed on bread as a dietary staple and the complex chain of processes undergone by the food that reaches our tables.
