During an October 2019 residency at the University of Stirling, an 82m tube of knitted yarn was made on the ‘Peacemakers’ loom.  Gardner & Gardner then used this textile piece to create a temporary intervention on the plinth of Iain McColl’s sculpture, ‘The Pursuit of Knowledge.’  Set in the grounds of the University campus, the intervention, ‘Peace Be With You,’ introduced unexpected colour and texture to the iconic sculpture, while the brightly striped yarn echoed the horizontal form of the Pathfoot Building beyond it.
